Description
Directs and advices Mechanics and Technicians in correct application of procedures and controls in the operation, maintenance, repair, upgrading and modification of Production Equipment's , such as Production Process Equipment's ( Mixers , Grinders , Smokehouses, Conveyors, Tumblers ) Packing Equipment's ( Hotdog Linker , Cutter , Vacuum Sealers and Metal Detectors ) , Plant Utilities machinery such as refrigeration plant, air conditioning and air handling units, cooling towers, air compressor ,diesel generator sets ,water supply, steam systems and waste water going to treatment plant.
- Supervision of Mechanics and Technician on the Improvements and Maintenance of Production Equipment's and Plant Utilities Equipment's all the times.
- Ensures correct application of operational procedures, monitoring and controls.
- Ensures all operational parameters are within the controlled limits specified on the equipment manual or dictated by operational requirements.
- Establishes work procedures that is inherent to the operation of and Plant Utilities Operation
- Ensures that all equipment are delivering the correct quality and quantity of utility demanded.
- Ensures that all equipment are operating efficiently and with minimal losses/wastage.
- Works in close coordination with the Production Department with regards to production requirement on the supply of Plant utilities.
- Ensures personnel are equipped with the proper knowledge in operation, maintenance and repair of Production Equipment's and Plant Utilities Equipment's
- Establish training and development program for personnel
- Monitors and evaluate performance of personnel in operation, maintenance and repair abilities.
- Ensures that all Equipment are operated in safe manner and conforms to legal and environmental regulations.
- Ensures that all personnel are knowledgeable on safety practices and PPEs required in their operation.
- Ensures that all personnel are equipped with personnel protective equipment necessary to carry out their work.
- Initiates safety inspections, exercise and active participation of personnel on safety activities.
- Establish monitoring procedures and data bank for operational review and analysis.
- Initiates improvement and energy saving concepts in the operation and maintenance on Production Equipment's and Plant Utilities Equipment's
- Ensure that all expenditures are controlled within the allowed budget.
- Prepares reports on energy utilization, section objectives, technical budgets, investment and proposals on Plant Utilities and Maintenance Management Section.
