MECHANIC
Job Description
Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to users/driver complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Maintains vehicle records by recording inspection and repairs.
Conducts vehicle inspections and alerts users/drivers on issues on vehicles that may need repairs.
Provides information to users/drivers about appropriate vehicle usage.
Performs routine maintenance on machinery and/or vehicles.
Contains costs by evaluating service and parts options.
Other Functions
Performs machine preventive maintenance of injection machines and other auxiliary equipment.
Performs other related duties assigned for the purpose, ensuring efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Qualifications
Must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent
Have at least three (3) years' experience in related field
With experience in automotive mechanics, diesel/gas engine repair, overhauling and maintenance
Can repair a variety of automotive components
Detail-oriented to find the cause of a mechanical or electronic malfunction
Must know how to drive and holder of professional driver's license
Knowledge in machine repair is an advantage
Able to work independently and must have a strong sense of responsibility
Willing to render overtime, if necessary
