Material Planning Officer
Manages material availability using the respective tools that are made available to communicate with the stakeholders and suppliers the material planning and his updates. He shall assure that the respective tools are in line with the Supplier confirmed material planning. He/she shall assure the material planning is in line with the project objectives and will take the necessary actions where needed to adjust the material planning to be in line with these objectives.
Contributes to the monitoring of the supplier performance and this in close cooperation with the respective buyer. He will support the respective buyer in the management of the purchase orders/scheduling agreements, so they reflect the supplier agreements.
Supports the MRP controller to ensure the ERP data accuracy. He shall inform the MRP controller in case changes are needed to improve or ensure the project objectives. Any change shall be aligned and agreed with the respective buyer and supplier and reflected in the Purchase Contract.
Key responsibilities (describe key responsibilities in order of importance and specify the approximate amount of time, e.g. in % related to the typical business cycle)
Material Availability Management - 40%
Ensure the latest and updated material planning is communicated to the supplier through the respective tools
Perform proactive expediting and ensure Supplier confirms the material delivery planning and shall use the respective tools and means which support the material planning communication and reporting.
Support backorder management with confirmed delivery dates and will use backorder management to prioritize supplier deliveries in case of late delivery.
Contribute to the management of the project objectives by ensure material planning and ERP settings are in line with these objectives.
Warehouse Management - 20%
Ensure supplier follows the contractual agreements which supports warehouse management. He will have specific attention to ensure Goods are accompanied by the contractual agreed documentation and identification.
Support the warehouse in Goods issues as physical overstock, documentation mismatch, Goods receipt Issues, physical inventory mismatch, obsolete stock.
Support the warehouse to ensure the ERP system reflects the physical Goods storage.
Manage Goods in Query attributed to him in the GiQ file
He/She shall solve parked invoices caused by goods receipt issues.
Governance - 30%
Organize orderbook reviews with the supplier and manage reporting.
Support the procurement and supply chain organisation in the governance of backorders with supplier committed delivery dates.
Support the governance on project objectives related to Supply Chain.
Support the governance of ERP data accuracy
Developing Oneself and get exposure - 10%
Develop professionalism by learning proper business practices, Procurement and Supply Chain manual/computerized procedures and processes affecting the procurement and Supply Chain functions, and developing working knowledge of commodities and products
Use knowledge and expertise on the procedures and processes to support the buyer in Supplier Agreements.
Use shadowing on the job to train new Employees in Material Planning
