Is currently looking for:
 
MATERIAL PLANNER
 
Responsibilities:
Plan, Monitor, Order, & Control the availability of raw materials and sub materials. 
Monitor inventories on-hand including raw material expiry and on time receiving of Raw Materials.
Timely replenishment of stocks in accordance with the identified inventory level by doing material assessment weekly or as need per new sales order receive. 
Prepare the Material Purchase Request set monthly every 1st week of the month and long-range forecast to supplier (if required). Make PR request weekly for additional orders if needed. PR is subject for approval by the manager.
Monitor raw material transition from warehouse to production and it's consumption. Consumption should be according to standard requirement to avoid shortages.
Conduct actual checking of the material stock level at warehouse for needed confirmations to avoid stock out. Ensure that inventory quantity use is accurate.
Give updates on the status of material and follow-up status to ensure on time delivery of lacking items.
Communicate to suppliers as needed for concerns of delivery schedule if necessary changes should be requested like pull-in of schedule (if applicable)
Create/update Material Planning file for every order received and for material delivery schedule including the in-transit to identify the lists of critical materials, including semi-finished goods (if applicable).
Suggest ideal stocking level qty/percentage in reference to historical data of consumption and current trend of orders. Approval of final stocking level should from the Manager and/or top management.
Update to monitoring the material usage/requirement from BOM & and analyze the quantity of raw materials to be ordered, including new products/projects.
Monitor possible reports of quantity discrepancies and quality issues of materials received for material planning.
Help coordinate with QC for urgent items for production use.
Coordinate with New Product Development team, Costing/BOM, and Production Planner (whichever is applicable) for the production schedule of new product  in preparation of the material availability of materials to be used.
Prepare Material Downtime Report (for production line schedule downtime due to unavailability of materials).
Target, and ensure zero material related production downtime for key performance indicator (KPI). Monitor result and implement an effective corrective and preventive action for unattained result.
Do other task as maybe assigned by the immediate superior/manager.
SKILLS & ABILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS 
Knowledgeable in inventory/material planning and scheduling 
Can do computer operations (MS-Excel formulations, etc.)
Has the initiative, willing to be trained and to learn
Detail oriented and with good analytical skills/critical thinker
Good interactive communication skill
Strong work ethics and can work well with a team
Good decision-making skill, and with job accountability
