Role Type Permanent What you'll be doing: The Materials Planner is responsible for the supply/order management process of APMI and mainly involved in managing the end to end process of Inbound Materials. The position ensures materials are available to support APMI's production requirements. He/she leads key initiatives on service, inventory or cost and facilitates issue resolutions concerning RM supply. Key responsibilities: Order Management / RM Supply Management Manage the end to end order management process from RM requirement review until RM is delivered in APMI. Create Purchase Orders (POs) and Change Orders (COs) in APMI's Legacy System, communicate orders to suppliers and monitor progress of orders. Communicate to concerned parties projected arrival of raw materials Resolve immediate supply issues related to RM deliveries and rejections. Supplier Management Conduct supplier audits annually Train suppliers on APMI order process and strategies Jointly conduct regular supplier capacity planning with the suppliers to ensure synchronization of APMI & supplier schedules. Measure supplier delivery performance (OTIF) Material Planning Conduct review of raw material parameters to ensure correctness Adjust parameters to changing business conditions, strategies and supply capabilities. Update safety stocking policies on a regular basis. Strategy Development & Implementation Develop and implement strategies that will positively impact RM availability, service, inventory or cost. Payment to Suppliers Reviews supplier invoices and approves payments to Suppliers in conjunction with Avon's Global Delegation of Authority. Inventory Management Ensures material purchases are aligned with requirements. Pursue inventory reduction opportunities in the assigned commodity. We'd love you to have: Graduate of any Engineering, Math, Statistics, Business courses Minimum 1-2 years experience in a supply chain or manufacturing environment Extensive knowledge on Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) Good knowledge of Supply Chain dynamics, Advance Purchasing and Logistics.
