Job Description
Provide services to ensure that all electrical systems, wiring and equipment remain functional.
Installs, maintains, and repairs equipment and machinery.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Prepares sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Assists in the maintenance and repair work in a variety of other skilled trades areas.
Maintains records and prepares reports; and, estimates materials, labor, and equipment costs.
Ensures all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule.
Accomplishes the maintenance checklist and keeps records of the maintenance activities performed on electrical installation and equipment.
Finds root cause of issues and think logically about solutions
Performs general electrical maintenance.
Inspects transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
Troubleshoots electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
Exposed to the various test equipment.
Repairs and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
Performs other tasks as may be required and as deemed necessary by the immediate superior.
