Working as part of Poplar's Marketing team, you will bring your creative lens to our overall marketing strategy. You're responsible for producing various types of materials that will represent our brand like illustration, motion, web, print, and layout. The ideal candidate for this role should have a mix of creative skills and business logic. We're looking for a designer with a creative perspective that is consistent with our aesthetic, has a result-driven approach, and is proactive in bringing our brand vision to the next level.
Responsibilities:
- Regular production of high-quality graphic designs for ongoing marketing initiatives; Blog Assets, Social Posts, Email Design and Paid Ad Creatives. This includes video creation in all stages of production.
- Design materials for time-bound marketing campaigns like postcards, brochures, e-books, magazines, presentations, etc.
- Team up with web developers to design creative, impactful, and highly converting web pages. Regular design audit of existing web pages and suggest improvements.
- Create assets for the Employer Branding Specialist and other departments in their employer branding efforts. This includes graphics for digital channels and print collaterals like banners, posters, brochures, etc.
- Work with the Marketing Lead to continuously improve and evolve the brand aesthetic. Keep our branding guidelines and design system organized, alive, and implemented in the entire organization. Collaborate with different team members (Social Media Manager, SEO Specialist, PR Specialist, Content Specialist) to optimize creatives and unlock their fullest engagement and conversion potential.
- Continuous learning and knowledge improvement on design. Regular check-up on changing design trends, best practices, and industry insights. Upskill through company-sponsored training, workshops, and seminars.
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree in Art Studies, Fine Arts, Marketing, Communications, Business Management, IT and/or a related preferred but NOT required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in design is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in using design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Animate, InDesign), Canva. Knowledge in using Sketch, Figma, After Effects, is a big plus.
- Core design skills in layout, illustration, typography, and visual communication. Basic skills in filmmaking like storytelling and cinematography are a huge advantage.
- Experience with WordPress, specifically Divi theme. Digital product design is a huge bonus.
- Has a strong eye for what makes a design good and is updated on the latest design trends.
- Experience developing and delivering executive-level presentations on design ideas.
