Our focus is on developing the very best mobile and web applications and building long-term relationships with our clients. We are currently looking for a Manual Software Quality Assurance Tester to add to our growing team.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
Experience in different types of testing, especially Functional and Regression
Able to write test cases, test scripts
Able to write or perform queries (SQL), and/or perform data retrieval in NoSQL
Be a fast learner. Has the most creative mind. Think-out-of-the-box attitude. Curious about how things work. Not easily persuaded. Patient and passionate.
Able to express own self to justify, and explain with confidence, items needing resolution
Must be a team player, but also comfortable working independently
Can handle pressure with grace
An understanding of what it means to wear different hats in a small, dynamic team environment, and a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed
Practical experience working in an agile development environment, with an understanding of what works and what doesn't in a professional-services setting
Experience in requirements analysis
Able to identify test coverage, test scope
Understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
Experience in agile software testing
Has at least 1-2 years related job experience
Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other engineering disciplines
Willing to work with a 4-hour overlap with clients
Key Responsibilities
Develop QA process for projects handled
Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
Coordinate with other team members in resolving any issues and defects found
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
Participate in planning to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
Execute functional, reliability, performance, security, and/or usability tests (Manual) for customer functions.
Familiar with/interested in:
Test Matrix, Requirement Traceability Matrix, Agile Methodology, Use Cases, User Acceptance Conditions, Database Management Systems.

This is a contracted position with the opportunity of being assigned to another active project from our portfolio at the end of the current project. This provides the opportunity for our contractors to move to new projects where they can learn new technologies, experience new industries, and diversify their development opportunities.
