iTworks Global Solutions is looking for a Mandarin Content Writer / Technical Translator (Simplified Chinese to English) with extensive experience in different styles of writing and editing to support our growing business program. The candidate must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. 
 
Job Description 
 
Translate technical documents & UI strings from Simplified Chinese to English. The job requires candidates with an expert level of Chinese & English, the ability to communicate efficiently between both languages (spoken and written), and the ability to learn independently. Candidates must also be able to self-organize, work well in a team environment, and meet strict deadlines. 
 
Responsibilities 
Translate cloud computing technical documents and UI strings. 
Work together with authors and editors to ensure content accuracy, clarity, and quality.
Ensure content adheres to cloud computing style guidelines. 
Ensure documentation meets publishing deadlines. 
May also include translation for non-technical content, such as marketing and pre-sales materials. 
Requirements: 
Bachelor's degree or higher, preferred majors: language, engineering, computer science.
Expert English language skills & Chinese language skills. 
Able to communicate with both authors in Chinese and editors in English.
Strong logical thinking skills and attention to detail. 
Experience in the technology industry is desirable but not essential. 
Previous translating experience is desirable but not essential.
Strong understanding of computing concepts is desirable but not essential.
Able to translate 2500 - 3000 words per day. 
Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Bachelor's/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree, Journalism, Linguistics/Languages, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Mass Communications, Nursing or equivalent. 
Required language(s): Mandarin, English, Filipino 
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Work from home until further notice. Applicants must be willing to work in Ortigas Office.
Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Journalist/Editor or equivalent.
