Job Summary
Main objectives and functions:
1. Manages the technical infrastructure / framework for the delivery of Web Services and to be responsible for the workloads and activities of the Web Developers.
Lead and establish priorities for, and manage subsequently, the day-to-day work of the Web Developers
Determine and manage the technical infrastructure/frameworks to deliver robust, secure and reliable web applications and services
2. Prioritizes projects in accordance with institutional priorities,
preparation and realization of business and operational plans
Along with the Head of IT, monitor pro-actively the utilization and effectiveness of the Company's use of web technologies and applications
Embed and manage effective quality control processes for the development of applications
3. Provides advice and guidance on web issues across the Company, including working closely with all others involved in web provision, and advocacy for the further development of the Company's web presence through new and emerging technologies.
Advise on and plan for future developments, including preparation of requirements specifications;
Provide professional support and work pro-actively with all such staff involved in the web across the Company;
Contribute to the management and direction of Web Services
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in web technologies and applications, to provide professional advice to the Company.
Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of higher education in general.
Area of expertise (Skills)
Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Computer-Related Technology or equivalent experience in management information systems.
Other Skills and Experiences (Min)
Knowledge on programming methodologies(BP, object design, datamodeling, MVC) and various programming languages.
PHP release5+, , C#, ".Net", JavaScript (AJAX, JQuery)
Business Process modeling, object oriented design, datamodeling, MVC (Model View Controler)
Database MySQL, MsSQL programming (Normalization, triggers, stored procedures, views)
