Position Summary:
The Manager, Business Intelligence %Analytics supports the execution of the Itinerary Management strategy while following roadmaps to increase data fluency across the team. This role contributes to the collection and engineering of mission-critical data and collaborates across the organization to ensure the adoption of platforms and systems to deliver insights seamlessly.
This role requires a blend of analytical, data science, and data development skills to inform strategic planning decisions, test hypotheses, solve problems creatively, and improve bottom-line profitability and guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
BI strategic planning objectives, deliverables, and challenges to identify relevant data to inform critical decision making
Work across the strategic planning team to identify required tools, data-driven insights, and measurable KPIs and OKRs to monitor progress and improve performance
Help break down complex business questions into easily understandable and actionable elements for a wide audience to drive quality and efficient decision making
Become a subject matter expert for data, analysis, and hypothesis testing within the strategic planning team
Support the development of internal and external dataset pipelines to collect and engineer, in accordance with the overarching Business Intelligence strategy
Partner with IT teams to explore and advance storage capabilities to ensure data integrity
Support the development of robust data reporting and visualization tools to champion data orientation and accessibility for all audiences
Identify the relevant data needed to solve complex problems
Support interpretation of competitive intelligence to help drive deployment and itinerary innovation
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, Business Administration, or another quantitative discipline
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in analytics, business intelligence, or comparable data engineering role
Hands-on experience conducting quantitative analyses
Experience with reporting, descriptive statistics, probability, and cleaning big datasets
Advanced research and analytical skills are a plus
Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or other languages a plus
Proficiency in tools such as GA/BigQuery, Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight, and Excel a plus
Experience working within large datasets
Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data, and assumptions
Curiosity and passion for data, visualization, and problem-solving
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Strong project management skills
Ability to translate strategic priorities into operational reality using analytical skills, creativity, and logical thinking
