This alternative investment manager and investor group with a strong concentration on real estate investment, primarily engaging in investing through real estate private equity funds and regional real estate funds is searching for a Management and Reporting Accountant, with a focus on the financial operations, compliance and reporting for a Singapore-licenced fund management company. Part of an international group established in Sydney, with operating presence in Singapore, Tokyo, London, New York and Luxembourg.
The Singapore office shares responsibility for pursuing new investment capital, creating real estate investment opportunities, fulfilling investment advisory obligations for specific funds and mandates, and reporting to existing investment partners and other stakeholders.
Reporting to Senior Management (both locally and in Australia), the primary purpose of this role is to maintain the financial operations, compliance and reporting of the group's licenced fund manager in Singapore. Additionally, the role encompasses accounting and tax administration of the group's private local investments and provides governance support including company secretariat assistance for the group's Singapore entities.
Key responsibilities of this broad role include maintenance of Xero accounting ledgers, production of quarterly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, management of accounts payable and receivable, statutory financial reporting, audit liaison, regulatory and tax compliance, company secretariat support, and ad hoc projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to build effective working relationships within and outside the organisation (including key third-party service providers).
You will ideally hold tertiary qualifications, including a CA/CPA qualification with 5 or more years of relevant experience. Strong accounting skills and financial reporting experience is required. You will have a solid attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture, while working to deadlines. Strong computer literacy and a proficiency in Xero are essential. An interest or experience in funds management operation would be a benefit.
