MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
 
Job description
 
You will work with our maintenance team to support and execute the various maintenance activities in our three production plants.
 
Your job is important to ensure timely completion of all maintenance work and a functioning production at all times.
Lead assigned improvement projects for plant modifications and improvements and ensure quality, budget and timely completion.
Coordinate and supervise assigned facility and equipment maintenance activities by the maintenance team in our three plants.
Ensure relevant records of preventive and corrective maintenance activities are complete as defined in company processes and available during audits.
Ensure assigned corrective maintenance of malfunctioning machines, equipment and infrastructure are correctly prioritized, executed and documented.
Ensure assigned annual preventive maintenance plans are followed and implemented to ensure machines and equipment are well maintained and downtime minimized.
Develop maintenance procedures for machines, mechanical, electrical, factory infrastructure, quality management systems to continuously improve our internal processes and provide proactive support and solutions.
Maintain and update technical books, manuals, reference materials, and equipment inventory.
Supervise and train maintenance staff in general facility and equipment maintenance, scheduling, and prioritizing maintenance work orders.
Train production staff in best practices of machine and equipment usage.
Collaborate across departments to ensure assigned construction and plant modifications are planned and executed as needed.
Build relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
Support annual budget planning and continuous budget monitoring.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
At least 3 years of maintenance experience as a supervisor or maintenance project manager, preferably in a manufacturing plant.
Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic engineering concepts.
Hands-on mentality with competency in problem solving, team building, planning and prioritizing activities, decision making, keeping track of and reporting on activities.
Understanding of quality and attention to detail. Ability to detect non-conformances and enforce corrections.
Understanding of continuous process improvement, reporting and management principles.
Knowledge of working in an ISO 9001 regulated environment, additional experience in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is highly beneficial.
Flexible mindset and ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic production operation.
Certification as PCO, SO2 or SO3, mechanical engineer or electrical engineer is highly beneficial.
Ability to troubleshoot challenges as they arise.
Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word and Email.
