MAINTENANCE STAFF
As a member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and systems. Your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of the property and its occupants.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
Inspecting and repairing building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Conducting preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Repairing or replacing faulty components, parts, or equipment to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and diagnosing issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency calls to address issues and ensure timely resolution.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, storage areas, and maintenance tools and equipment.
Assist with basic carpentry, painting, and janitorial tasks as needed to maintain the appearance and functionality of the property.
Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team, as well as property managers, tenants, and contractors, to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure efficient operations.
Adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, inventory levels, and maintenance or other tools.
Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in maintenance techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor, facilities manager, or senior management.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
Basic knowledge of building systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
