Qualifications
1. Knowledgeable in the operation of lathes, shapers, milling machines, drill presses, and other related equipment.
2. High School graduate or College Level.
3. Good working knowledge of food safety and quality management systems.
4. Team-player, results-oriented and highly motivated.
5. Ability to listen and relay information properly.
6. Willing to work on Sundays or Nightshifts.
Essential Function
1. Fabricates a wide variety of metal components through the set-up and operation of lathes, shapers, milling machines, drill presses and similar equipment.
2. Operates welding and soldering equipment and uses hand tools in the fabrication of mechanical devices
3. Repairs and maintains machine shop equipment, repairs air compressors and pumps.
4. Replaces shafts, bearings, bushings, belts, shear pins, pulleys and gears.
5. Participates in the design of some specific apparatus
6. Installs machine shop equipment
7. Repairs and maintains machine shop equipment
8. Operates the following equipment in the machine shop:
a. Milling Machine
b. Lathe Machine
d. Arc Welding Machine
8. Understand and follow company procedures regarding SOP and Safety of repairs.
