SUMMARY OF JOB:
The main duty of a Machinist is to supervise all machine-related operations inside the new site.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Below are some, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities of a Machinist:
1. Conducts machine tools operation to produce precision metal parts
2. Ensures products meet precise specifications
3. Plans the sequence of cutting and finishing of operations
4. Takes measurements and marking materials for cutting or shaping metal parts
5. Plans sequence of actions for completion of tasks
6. Performs precision tolerance measurements (in-house and on-site)
7. Performs routine machine maintenance and repair of minor damages
8. Conducts and operates dynamic balancing machine
9. Conducts shaft alignment
10. Checks parts and damage of motors
11. Conducts welding works
12. Handles oxygen acetylene cutting and pre-heating works
13. Assist in promoting company's services to prospects and potential clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
1. At least graduate of high school
2. Has at least 2 years of experience in machine shop
3. Knowledgeable on the use of lathe and milling machine
4. Knowledgeable on the use of precision measuring tools (i.e. outside micrometer, inside micrometer, bore gauge, caliper, and dial gauge)
5. Has acquired a background on drafting mechanical parts
6. At least 21 years of age and above
