Total Executive Management Portal, Inc. partners with a faith-based (Christian) NGO, based in Ortigas, Pasig City, in their search for a LIVELIHOOD OFFICER. If considered, the candidate will be directly hired by them.
Job Description:
The Livelihood Officer will be responsible in supporting the Transform Livelihood and Prevail programs of the organization and will be directly reporting to the Livelihood Manager. He or she will be in-charge of the following:
- Review and evaluate current strategies in the organization's Livelihood training system specifically in BIB, GIB including Demo Farm and savings groups
- Gather Feedback and ideas in order to design new strategies and/or make changes to existing strategies
- Create training tools to implement changes in strategies
- Conduct mentoring/follow-up calls
- Work in partnership with the Livelihood Coordinators to ensure success in implementing the new strategies
- Create a training pack for each strategy BIB, GIB/Demo farm and Savings Group.
- Monitor progress of BIB, GIB/Demo Farm and Savings Group implementations per base according to the indicator set for the program
- Review and evaluate current strategies in the organization's Prevail training system
- Gather Feedback and ideas in order to design new strategies and/or make changes to Prevail strategies
- Create training tools to support existing Prevail training material and implement changes in Prevail and Savings Group strategy
- Help create a sustainable "Post-VHL curriculum structure".
- Monitor implementation of strategic initiatives such as Launch Part 3, Prevail Promotion in Thrive meetings and activities around the Technical Assistance Program.
- Assess project success using evaluation tools and test evaluation system to measure impact of Savings Group Prevail program.
- Support the implementation of partnerships and linkages both within and outside ICM where a post-program follow-up structure can be tested such as government entities, cooperatives MFI's, rural banks, etc.
- Prepare and submit all necessary budget and resource requests and ensure proper utilization of approved budget.
- Supervise and mentor Livelihood Coordinator and ensure Livelihood/Prevail performance meets quality standards.
- Ensure data is encoded accurately and in a timely manner based on expected deadlines.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all reports to immediate supervisor.
- Report Livelihood/Prevail related problems, along with possible solutions to immediate supervisor.
- Represent the Livelihood team at management meetings and communicate best practices and learnings to the Livelihood department and Branch Heads/Area Head
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in Livelihood management or a College Graduate in Livelihood, Business Management, Social Sciences, Community Development or equivalent external work experience
- Preferably with supervisory and management experience with demonstrated knowledge
- With excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, task management, computer proficiency and problem solving skills
- With demonstrated experience in monitoring, analysis and reporting.
- Preferably of Christian faith/religion.
- Willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig City.
