Job Description
1. Participates and contributes in all the assessments, planning, development, implementation, training, monitoring and evaluation activities that are related to livelihood initiatives in the region..
2. Identifies and develops appropriate livelihood strategies and initiatives in the communities based on analysis and research done.
3. Implements all related livelihood initiatives in the region according to FHP standards and guidelines. The main approach to be implemented is the Savings Group Approach.
4. Ensures that livelihood indicators are achieved in the livelihood initiatives implemented in the communities.
5. Ensures that the budget for livelihood initiatives are properly managed, recorded and reported (with required documentation) according to FHP finance policies.
6. Organizes the formation of Savings groups in the selected communities.
7. Maintains and updates the database for Savings Groups.
8. Conducts assessment on capacity building needs related to livelihood. Identifies appropriate technical training (e.g. financial management, budgeting) and livelihood skills training (e.g. community-based) and support based on the assessment.
9. Conducts technical training (e.g. Savings Groups modules) and provides support to other Field Staff, and officers and members of the Savings groups.
10. Organizes the training in the communities.
11. Contributes to the contextualization of relevant Livelihood materials, manuals etc. to be used in the region.

Responsibilities and Duties
The Livelihood Officer uses appropriate tools, guidelines, strategies and such to implement these initiatives to the communities. He/she coordinates and communicates with the communities and sector coordinators for program integration in the community. He/she coordinates and builds good relationships with relevant government departments, donors, NGO's and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of all livelihood related initiatives.
Work Schedule:
Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm
Qualifications and Skills
1. College Graduate of any course relevant to the position, preferably Business Management, Entrepreneurship.
2. Preferably 3-5 years experience in the same field.
3. Experience and expertise in training children, adults and different sectors.
4. Able to command respect in the community
5. Must be a Filipino
6. In sympathy with Christian values
