JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Primary responsibility is to ensure that HSSSI business transactions are in compliance with the law. These include research of relevant laws covered by the transaction and advise the company of any violations.
Advises and actively represents the company in a variety of legal matters and business transactions which may include but not be limited to contracts, procurement and other areas requiring legal counseling and/or assistance. 
Major Responsibilities:
Drafts pleading and position papers
Represents the company in corporate, taxation, labor, criminal and administrative cases, as the need arises.
Advises and actively represents company in negotiations, administrative and court actions as assigned; prepares appropriate legal documents associated with these processes
Advises management and represents legal perspective on new and proposed changes to company policies, procedures and practices.
Analyzes and interprets maritime laws, case law, ordinances, legislation and regulations to determine their application to company business procedures, policy and practices
Drafts and reviews contracts, pleadings, internal policies and other legal documents.
Researches appropriate legal opinions, rulings and findings in order to provide the soundest legal advice regarding company matters
Provides full range of legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations, and privileges of the organization
Provides resolution on business or technical issues by identifying legal solutions and recommending a course of action.
Participates in Administrative Hearing activities 
JOB QUALIFICATION
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Law or equivalent.
At least 2-3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Candidate with experience in litigation and corporate law practice is an advantage.
