Description
- Responsible in facilitating the draft, review and control of contracts under the supervision of the legal manager.
- Plans, organizes, and supervises legal department activities that are involved in internal paper processing and paper flow.
- Represents the department on committees and task forces that are created to study inter and intra departmental problems; maintains a working knowledge of various automated and manual systems and procedures.
- Creates and maintains information control when no longer needed; supervises subordinates in the preparation of affidavits, agreements, briefs, calendars, contracts, declarations, and dispositions; interviews and selects subordinate clerical personnel.
- Assigns and trains subordinates in a variety of legal department tasks including the operation of personal computers, the usage of a variety of software programs and a variety of computer related peripherals.
- May prepare the budget for function being supervised and establish expenditure controls over all office equipment and supplies being procured; submits requisitions for supplies as needed.
- Prepares reports, correspondence, legal documents and directives relative to of legal department operations.
