Accountabilities:
You will provide legal support on a broad range of matters related to the Individual Insurance and Guaranteed Investment Product business in Canada, including
.providing legal research, analysis and recommendations concerning developing legislation and regulations
.reviewing, drafting and advising on contracts and service provider agreements
.collaborating closely with legal and compliance colleagues, as well as business partners, to ensure a seamless and timely delivery of legal support for new and in-force business, operational matters and customer care issues, including complaint de-escalation and resolution
.as the need arises, partnering with legal and compliance colleagues in Distribution, Privacy & Cybersecurity and Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:
.You are aqualified lawyer (bar passer) and have a minimum of 2-3 years working experience in the financial sector
.You have excellent written and oral communication skills
.You have a proven ability to quickly learn and understand different legal and regulatory environments
.You have a positive, collaborative spirit and keen interest in continued learning
.You have a proven ability to work independently, efficiently, and collaboratively in an environment with rapidly changing demands and expectations
.You deliver exceptional client service as well as the practical application of analytical skills and exercise of sound judgment
