About the role
The Product Engineer is a key role in the project leadership team to ensure controlled and unambiguous BoM (bill of materials) management as well as co-ordinated development builds both internally and externally at a CM (contract manufacturer) aligned to the project delivery schedule.
Drive Product cost-related projects delivery.
Work with Lifecycle Managers to identify, scope and lead product cost projects and initiatives, ensure BoM accurately reflects design intent.
Compile end-to-end product cost walks and analyse the elements to provide insights and prioritisation input.
Define and control change management of SKU bill of materials for development builds.
Manage release of necessary SKU deliverables ahead of production release (product specifications, verification testing and part releases).
Develop and lead a value (cost/ benefit/ due/ dependencies) method to prioritise work and resources.
Co-ordinate prototype and engineering build activities, working with external CM as well as internal facilities.
About You
Degree in Engineering or Science or demonstrate equivalent experience. Electronics, Mechanical or Product Design is preferred.
7+ years experience of managing product development.
Candidates with experience delivering within a product development framework preferred.
Candidates with experience of working in a regulated industry to ISO certification QMS standards are preferred.
Knowledge and experience in SKU development and release management.
Experience with Teamcenter, Unigraphics NX is preferred.
