LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER

General Qualifications:
 
Education: 
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Training and Experience:
5+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in a relevant industry.
Experience designing electrical systems and equipment for various applications.
Skills and Attitude:
Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, and other electrical tools.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of design processes, tools, and techniques.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software.
Select components and materials based on project requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during the design and implementation process.
Conduct research to stay up-to-date on new electrical technologies and their applications.
Develop load schedule & cable sizing calculation or any necessary analysis.
Revise and update drawings as necessary to reflect changes in design or project scope.
Collaborate with the project teams to identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during the design process.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely completion.
Review and approved work performed by his/her design engineers, provide guidance and mentorship as needed.
Ensuring all drawings comply with industry and company standards and regulations.
Lead and manage a team of design engineers in developing designs and solutions that meet customer requirement.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Conduct research and analysis to identify new design trends and technologies that can improve output performance and customer experience.
Provide technical guidance and support to the design team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources, tools, and training to complete their work effectively.
