Washing Operations - Sorts all linen and washes only one classification at a time. - Follows pre-set washing formula - Adjusts steam/temperature accordingly. - Loads machines per standard capacity - Practices maximum flexibility and creativity when dealing with special requests. 2. Pressing Operations - Operates pressers to standard time. - Adjusts steam/temperature accordingly. - Hand presses all garments that require special attention - Hangs and packs all pressed items. 3. Stacking and issuing of F&B and Rooms linens - Sorts out the s and colour of tablecloths and napkins. - Counts and records the same into the respective record books. - Issues the actual quantity back to the respective outlet. - Helps in handling the receipt, storage, and issuance of supplies, when necessary 4. Stock Control - Ensures adequate supplies. - Maintains par stock of washing, packing and hanging supplies. 5. Profitability - Practices cost containment by maintaining all equipment properly and minimizing use of washing and packing supplies 6. Keeping laundry/linen room clean - Cleans shelves and linen racks daily. - Sweeps the linen room floor daily. - Keeps shelves and Linen Room as a whole, clean, and in order. 7. Communication - Confers with the Housekeeping Supervisor on events and activities during the day. - Communicates closely with immediate superior on any problem related to her assigned area. - Logs information for the Housekeeping Supervisor such as lack of supplies, etc. 8. General Responsibilities - Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance. - Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Hotel/Hotel policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position. - Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other Hotel/Hotel employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate. Professional Eligibility N/A Skills - Sewing and mending skills - Communication skills Education - College Level Experience - with at least 6months experience of handling linens in Hotels. Responsibility Responsible for providing efficient and courteous Laundry service to both internal and external customers, receiving, proper keeping, sorting, and issuing of linens for the whole Hotel, and the cleanliness of the Laundry area.
