Job Description
Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
Perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment
Operate, perform set-up changes and first article inspections on production runs utilising manual lathe and milling machines
Maintain toolbox as per the standard and report any shortages of tools or consumable to the production supervisor
Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling instructions such as fixture, cutting feed, cutting speeds, depth of cut and cutting tools to be used
Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, proving tapes, operating controls, setting tools, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements
Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements
Ensure the proper utilisation of equipment and material
Ensure paperwork is accurate and reflects the latest revision
Use measuring tools and gauges to ensure quality of product
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Others) or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
