Job Qualifications:
- Registered Chemist
- 3+ years of progressive management or supervisory experience
- 3+ years Chemical Laboratory experience
- Effective data trending, document control, and technical bench skills
- Strong problem-solving, training, team building, and mentoring abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the over-all operations of the laboratory.
- Ensures that all SOP's are followed to include sample handling, analysis and QA/QC checks.
- Performs testing and analyses as defined in the Matrix of Laboratory if necessary. Tests and analyses in accordance with the defined Laboratory procedure.
- Compute and review calculations of data results before transferring in the Summary of Results Form and submit signed Results Form Sheet to Testing Manager for review and approval.
- Prepares and updates reports related to the analyses performed.
- Reviews Certificate of Analysis (CAN) and countersigns.
- Coaches laboratory analysts on the performance of test and analyses.
- Reviews & evaluates performance of staff.
- Handles quality control procedures and prepares documents needed for regular audit.
