LABORATORY ANALYST - ALCOY, CEBU PLANT
 
A laboratory Analyst is the overall in-charge with the QA/Laboratory operations. His/her duty includes conducting of sampling preparation and analysis of dolomite products for quality purposes. He/she is also expected to submit reports on chemical and physical analyses of PMSC products. Additionally, part of its responsibility is to establish a year-round budget planning for QA Laboratory.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be licensed Chemical Engineer or Laboratory Technician
Preferably with experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in a production setting
Willing to undergo skills training, seminars, activities initiated by or requested by the company.
Willing to assigned in Alcoy, Cebu Plant
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Provides daily analysis on the determination of calcium oxide (CaO), magnesium oxide (MgO), silica (SiO2), alumina (Al203), iron (lll) oxide (Fe203) and water H2O) using energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer
Provides timely results of analysis to superior/section concern for quality control monitoring
Prepares certificate of analysis after loading (Lab Analyst function
Prepares monthly chemical and physical analysis report
Prepares monthly weather report
Prepares OTP-monitoring report
Prepares monthly telex data report
Performs other tasks and duties relevant to the existing job function.
Develops work assignments facilitate analysis of sample
Accomplishes and submits reports on chemical analysis regularly to his superior
Establishes a year-round budget for laboratory
Supervises physical testing of the product such as size testing
Assists top management on any technical data regarding our product specially in the chemical analysis and uses
Supervises on the analysis of pH, turbidity, color, total suspended solids, and oil & grease waste and run-off water
Supervises the quality of deep-well water such as pH, conductivity and total suspended solids
Supervises the air quality of testing
Submits operational and & environmental monitoring report to DENR
Submits hazardous waste generated by the establishment to DENR
Attends to all pertaining requirements of the establishment prior to the construction or installation of pollution control facilities
Monitors activities pertaining to the installation or construction of pollution source and control facilities on order to ensure compliance with air, noise and water quality standards
Participates in company's sponsored activities for purposes of personality and skills training development
Coordinates with other section in matters pertaining to quality control of the products
Complies with safety rules and regulations in the conduct of work
Strictly observes the company's policies, rules and regulations
Performs other tasks and duties relevant to the existing job function.
