Our Role
The licensed Laboratory Analyst is responsible for performing testing related duties on a professional level and working closely with Laboratory Chemist as well as other support groups of the operations. This position is responsible for conducting required incoming testing for limestone, drawer test and other validating tests, liaising with co-workers and outside suppliers of raw material, and maintaining quality, environmental, safety and health policy compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform chemical and physical testing on incoming raw materials, in-process and finished products with supervision by the Chemist.
Conduct sampling for the incoming products of limestone, milk of lime, milk of lime semi-finished
Ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Organize and store all laboratory materials according to safety instruction and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
Perform the action plans related to their respective activities to meet the Quality and Environmental Objectives, Targets, and Programs.
Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.
Proper documentation of information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
This role will also support other administration duties as required.
The successful candidate will have a qualification in Chemistry or similar. Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment or a quarry is highly desirable. Must be a Registered Chemical Technician. Registered Chemist is a plus.
