What You'll Do
Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs (i.e. backups, diagnostics, etc.).
Deploy OS or application updates, patches and security fixes.
Provide Level 2 technical support for Helpdesk issues.
Perform root cause analysis for server-side issues.
Maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
Develop automation tools to monitor issues.
Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
Support the direction of the organizations infrastructure with ability to learn new technologies and skills,
Performs other tasks as required by supervisor and management.
What You Need to Qualify
Graduate of BS Computer Science, or any equivalent courses
Minimum 3 years working experience in the related field
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Strong analytics skills proving and solving issues with evidence
Able to work in a team and independently
Highly developed organization skills and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Azure Active Directory management and security best practices
Experience with manual and automated security administration, remediation, and hardening
Experience administering Microsoft Windows and Linux in a production environment
Experience with PowerShell and Unix-shell for automation and system administration
Experience deploying web applications using IIS, NGINX or similar
Experience with VMware Environment
Experience with Network and Security procedures and standards
Familiarity with backup solution (Veeam preferred)
Familiarity with Microsoft O365 suite of products
Knowledge & Experience with the following are not required but will give an advantage:
Experience managing physical and cloud storage solutions
Experience using load balancing techniques for highly available web applications
AWS administration
Cloud Methodologies like PaaS and SaaS
Hands-on experience in various aspects of cloud computing (compute, CI/CD, containers, storage, platforms, data, networking and security)
Version control systems like GitLab, GitHub
Data logging, parsing and visualization platforms such as ELK
Modern monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog
Cisco ASA security appliance and Cisco AnyConnect VPN software
Familiarity with VOIP including the SIP protocol
Any of the platform certifications, such as: RHEL, MCSE, MCITP, MCSA, AWS
