Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Normally prepares foundation, structural or hydraulic calculation sheets in accordance to project specifications, design criteria, and information. Ensuring correct and accurate calculations of loads and member sizes of structures.
Provides orders/assignments to other Civil Engineers in the preparation of 3D structural models and shop fabrication drawings, using 3D software such as STAAD, ETABS, MIDAS, etc and CAD software such as AutoCAD, ZWCad, etc. keeping in mind the MH spent, quality of execution, and deadlines are being met.
Generally supplies design drawing information and instructions to CAD Specialists ensuring technical completeness and clearness of data for effective workflow.
Prepares steel connection details as the project may require.
Strictly implements internal QMS and other internal controls to his/her work and the work of her subordinates. Checks own design output and review design drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness to design requirements and concepts.
Perform value engineering to meet the Client’s budgetary requirements.
Coordination for each assigned project:
Organizes project execution and workflow by keeping accurate records of project documents such as e-mails, minutes of meetings, telephone conversations, and transmittals of all project stakeholders. Transmit project information from the Client to Engineering Consultants and vice versa.
Coordination with consultants and clients via e-mail and phone communication (calls and SMS)
Attending client meetings and their documentation through minutes of meetings.
Accurate dissemination of project information and updates to the person/companies involved ensures that all information/instructions were properly understood and executed by all parties involved.
Negotiation of submissions inclusive of deadlines, quantity, and type with the client and partner consultants, client/architects, and project stakeholders.
Sees to it that all project concerns, issues, deliverables, and deadlines are being met.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other functions that may be assigned/delegated by the Managing Partner/ General Manager.
Completes in-house training for customer satisfaction and negotiation.
Strict adherence to ACE QMS and other subsequent Firm policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Civil engineering graduate from any reputable institution, with good academic standing
Preferably licensed civil engineer 
Must be willing to undergo training in Inspection Department
Must be flexible with job/project assignment
Preferably with knowledge on some structural design software
Computer literate
Must be willing to report to work in person at the office or on-site
