Company Profile:
Provides services to individuals (Customers) to buy and sell crypto (i.e. on and off ramp) (Services). The primary go-to-market strategy is to grow through partnerships and offering secure, competitive and transparent payments and transaction settlement services to crypto platforms ("Partner" is defined below) and their end users. The Services include: ● fiat on ramp: Customer buys approved crypto using approved fiat currencies; and ● fiat off ramp: Customer sells approved crypto and can receive approved fiat.
Role Purpose:
As a Senior Software Manager, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team empowered to build and maintain highly scalable and available systems that operate globally. Depending on your skill set and experience, you may be involved in one or more of our projects such as improving our systems to facilitate B2B integrations, expanding our fiat-to-cryptocurrencies offerings, configuration management and building APIs. You will also be responsible for the hiring, onboarding and guidance of the other members of the team in the Philippines
Responsibilities:
Working closely with product owners and the development team to work on and take ownership of specific areas of the products and features.
Assisting in developing business configuration management solutions.
Participating in the development of new APIs and improvement of our existing APIs including the API documentation.
Upgrading the Laravel framework to the latest version.
Improving and maintaining existing codebases.
Refactoring and troubleshooting code issues.
Hiring and onboarding new team members in the Philippines
Provide assistance and support to other members of the team in performance of their roles and responsibilities
Mentor the less experienced team members.
Assisting the end-to-end testing process.
Write clean and maintainable code.
Contribute to the architectural design process for new solutions.
Stay up-to-date with existing and emerging technologies.
Requirements
Degree in IT or relevant subject
3+ years relative experience
Strong knowledge of PHP programming and framework - including Laravel and PHPUnit.
Experience using Relational Databases such as MySQL
Strong Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
Understanding of fundamental design principles and best practices behind a scalable application.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
A can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Comfortable with pair programming.
Strong analytic, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
HTML/CSS/JS, Some VueJS knowledge is desirable.
Having a passion for the Cryptocurrency industry is strongly encouraged.
