The Opportunity
Working in a collaborative and diverse Finance team, you will report directly to our Financial Controller and will support our finance function predominantly with supplier invoicing & fraud management.

Your Responsibilities
Ability to perform a Full Function Accounts process including:
Accounts Payable: process invoices, purchase orders, payments and liaising with suppliers
Accounts Receivable: collection (minimal)
Administer Accounts email (predominantly supplier invoices and requests)
Completion of daily operational reconciliations as required e.g. Credit card chargeback reconciliation
Payroll processing support as required
Conduct other value-add analysis, investigations and ad-hoc projects and tasks as required
Developing policies, procedures and manuals for the business
Assist senior management and other departments as required
What Success Looks Like
Sound technical financial accounting and reporting skills with exposure to ensuring compliance in a regulatory framework (incl GST/VAT style regime)
Strong Excel skills required - must be able to navigate and edit workbooks. Must be able to perform reconciliations in Excel using data sourced from different systems in different formats.
Strong problem solving ability - generating and recommending solutions will add enormous value
Task management skills and ability to create and follow processes must be exceptional
Must have very strong attention to detail completing all work in a timely manner and managing stakeholder expectations well at all times
Proactive with a 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn new things
Willingness to be involved in value-add activities across the business including board and general management reporting, financial analysis and stock control
Good written and spoken English

This opportunity is permanently remote, based working from your home office. Our team are highly collaborative and use the best tools to keep us all connected. As part of your working from home arrangement, we will provide you with a laptop and other necessary hardware to ensure we are setting you up for success!
Your Ideal Experience
Accounting or Business Degree with major in Accounting
Understanding of GST/VAT laws and calculations
Familiarity with Australian GST & payroll laws
Hands on full function accounts experience (highly desirable)
Problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify issues and suggest solutions
Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
Experience with Xero (highly desirable) or other online accounting software
