About the Junior Accountant (Cebu-based) Role:
Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance department catering to various branch entities around the world and mainly in West Africa. This role will mainly focus on bookkeeping, complete filing, archiving accounting documents while providing support in delivering revenue assurance by driving improvements in process and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare invoices to clients
Prepare payments to suppliers, reimbursement of expenses and other related accounts
Correspond daily with internal and external stakeholders or inter-companies on collection, payment and billing matters
Ensure that the appropriate authorisations from the delegated department head are received
Attend and manage customers' queries and ensure prompt investigation to any discrepancies
Perform month-end reconciliations and processes
Support the Financial Controller on ad hoc tasks appropriate to your level of skill and expertise
Daily checks of the company bank accounts and apply receipts against the appropriate customer invoices
To succeed in this Junior Accountant (Cebu-based) role, you must have a minimum of two years' experience in accounting with strong background in book-keeping.
Key Requirements:
Must be a Certified Public Account
At least two years' experience in general accounting and receivable functions or equivalent
Strong background in book-keeping
Knowledge in BIR reporting is a plus
Interpersonal skills
Organised and keen to detail, focused on accuracy and completeness of all processing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving and time-management skills
Excellent time-management and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
