We take an innovative approach to supporting our clients working side-by-side in collaborative environment modernizing existing technology. Your future duties and responsibilities: The Java Web Application Developer will need to be able to research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Document testing and maintenance of system corrections. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Additional duties are as follows: . Perform unit testing using test scripts to ensure requirements are met . Execute regression testing scripts . Support application help desk responding to end-user calls . Strong oral and written communication skills . Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills . Self-motivator with great attention to detail and follow through Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, IT or a related field . 3 years of software application development experience using Java Must have 3 years of experience in the following: o Developing applications with embedded Oracle SQL statements working with JS, JSP, HTML, PL/SQL, JDBC, WebSphere Rational Application Developer, Struts, and PVCS o Reviewing business and technical requirements and translating them into software solutions o Conducting unit software testing o Developing applications that run on Web and Application Servers . Must possess the following experience: o 3 years analyzing proposed technical solutions and technologies and recommending modifications o 3 years working across functional teams in client facing team environments o 2 years working with state governments developing and implementing Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information Systems (SACWIS) or other Child Welfare IT systems o 2 years conducting peer code reviews o 2 years of system and regression software testing o 2 years developing applications within established data architectures DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Team oriented Clear verbal and written communication skills Customer service oriented Experience scripting with jQuery Est.
