Java developer roles and responsibilities include managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. Responsibilities
Create web-based and client applications
Take part in the whole software development life cycle
Show technical expertise and handle development/testing tasks
Liaises with Infrastructure/middleware teams to ensure proper application configurations and hardware performance efficiencies
Employs industry standard best practices
Involved with the review and submission of solutions designs with the global team
Requirements
Proven experience as a Java Developer (3 years or more)
Core programming knowledge including design patterns and best practices
Database development and design skills
Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
Must have experience with frameworks like react.js, vue.js or Angular.js
Experience with frameworks such as Struts, Spring, Hibernate
Experience developing for Atlassian toolchain products is a plus
Good understanding of modern software development methodologies
Good understanding of software testing methodologies, scripting, and tools
Ability to prioritize and multi‐task to meet deadlines
