Responsibilities:
Assists staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
Perform laptop, desktop, printer and hardware setup and configurations
Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software. * Works with Help Desk and Operations staff as a level 2 resource to determine and resolve problems received from clients.
Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
Trains and orient staff on use of hardware and software.
Recommends and / or performs upgrades on systems to ensure longevity.
Works with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software.
Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases.
Assists in maintaining LAN/WAN and telecom systems.
Assist in the planning and development of internal practices, including client provisioning standards, technical documentation, capacity planning, change management, compliance, service assurance, and business continuity * Maintain current expertise while acquiring experience with new or emerging systems, keeping abreast of industry trends and developments
Requirements:
Managing incoming IT support calls and email
Managing remote and onsite support, troubleshooting, and escalation to technology manager
Weekly server management and troubleshooting/escalation
Maintaining up-to-date site and user documentation
Technical Skills:
Windows Server 2012/2019/2022 administration
Active Directory, Group Policy, File and Print Services, DNS, DFS Administration, RDS
Windows 10 & 11 support and administration in a domain environment
Very minimal Linux networking and OS support
Office 365, G Suite Administration and Solarwinds
VMware Administration
Cisco & Ubiquiti networking knowledge
Wbex Administration/ Cisco VOIP Familiarity
Networking TCP/IP, IP telephony, printers, backups.
Experience supporting SMB and mid-level business of 5-100 staff
Knowledge-base and site documents
