JOB SUMMARY
The IT Specialist is responsible in ensuring the organizations technology system operate efficiently and securely. He is responsible for managing troubleshooting, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks .
He will provide technical support to employees, resolve IT issues, and assist in implementing new technologies. He is also responsible in implementing and monitoring cyber security measures, data backup, and system upgrades.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Office Administration
Administer and maintain servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smart phones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
Setup and maintain POS Terminal for Store Branches and other office location..
Installation, repair and maintenance of IP PBX and GSM Gateway Devices
CCTV Installation, repair and maintenance. Do physical maintenance of all workstations as scheduled
In-charge of all physical inventory of IT assets keeping a systematic record
Ensures transfer of backup of important company files Do physical maintenance of all workstations as scheduled Monitors implementation of IT Policies and systems and procedure
Network and Systems Security and Administration
Responsible for installation and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
Responsible for the maintenance and installation of hardware and software types of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
Experience of at least 3-5 years in IT Infrastructure and Networking functions
Knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods; systems testing and evaluation principles,
Methods, and tools; IT security principles and methods; COTS products;
Internet technologies; and/or emerging information technologies
Knowledgeable in multiple web browsers and OS platforms, software procurement and updates, user management and SAS administration (Google Sheets, Zoom, Xero, etc.)
Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
Has a good interpersonal, and communication skills
Have the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
Experience in using graphic design applications would be an asset
Proficiency with VPN networks, firewalls, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies
