Description
The IT Service Desk is the central point of contact for all IT related incidents and service requests. The role of the IT Service Desk Specialist is to provide first line support, diagnosing issues or troubleshooting problems through remote access to their computers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitor help desk system for incoming requests and resolve or escalate accordingly
2. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware's.
3. Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
4. Resolves problems by clarifying the user's complaint.
5. Determining the cause of the problem.
6. Selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem and expediting the correction or adjustments.
7. Create user guide for the encounter issues with solutions that can use as reference of others.
8. Follow up with users to ensure issue has been resolved
9. Trains and orients employees on the use of technologyand helps them become familiar with systems, applications, equipment and networks.
10. Ensures all employees benefit from effective technology and efficient Internet access, and continually assesses needs and requirements.
11. Keeps accurate records and document IT operations requests and corresponding actions.
12. On-call and overtime work may be required depending on the needs of the employees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or related courses.
• Experienced in helpdesk support is advantage.
• Basic customer service skills to put employees at ease and help them solve their IT problems.
• Good listening and verbal communication skills to understand employee complaints and clearly relay solutions to technical problems.
• Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
• Patience for dealing with difficult customer-service situations
• Can work with moderate supervision both as an individual and in a team environment.
• Willing to work in Clark, Pampanga
