Description
As an IT Security Analyst, your main responsibility is providing oversight and technical input to all architectural activities to ensure architectures uphold required security standards..
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Analyse IT risks and security alerts and identify and manage security breaches.
• Install and implement hardware and software to prevent unauthorised access to information and networks.
• Monitor information coming into and leaving the organisation, and employees' internet access.
• Write and enforce security GPOs.
• Assist the CIDO with security awareness program to distribute and enforce to all employees.
• May involve after hours work and weekends (on call when requested).
• General
o Attend and constructively participate in team and company meetings.
o Escalate all appropriate matters to the Host Employee or Host Manager or other appropriate Client employee on a timely basis.
o Adhere to relevant Client policy or procedures.
o Adhere to relevant MVP policies and procedures including Human Resources and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
o Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.

o Chief Technology Officer
o IT Engineers
• Inside MVP
o Client Operations Manager;
o MVP IT Engineers
• External to UCG and MVP
o Trusted advisors approved by the CIDO.
To be qualified, you should be:
• A degree in Bachelor of Science in IT-related subject such as Network Engineering, Computer Science, or Cyber Security.
• Relevant industry-based certification, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• 3-5 years' experience in intermediate-level security roles or related roles such as network or systems administrator.
• Skills and knowledge in CISSP, NIST framework.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
• Advanced knowledge of computer and network systems, devices and software.
• Advanced knowledge of security monitoring and how to conduct security investigations
• Up to date understanding of internet threats.
• Advanced knowledge of current IT security standards, practices, and methods.
• Experienced with siteTRAX (project management) software and Service Desk application (Zendesk, Lansweeper, etc.)
• Knowledgeable with MS SharePoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams.
• Ability to work within a team and independently.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
