Job Description:
IT Operations Manager
We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager that can come in and put in processes such as incident management, problem management, help desk management, access management, and IT operations control. You will be managing a team of IT specialists, IT support engineers and network engineers. We want someone to come in and use the best practices of ITIL.
Responsibilities
Overseeing network infrastructure and desktop functionality
Managing teams of technicians, system engineers and other IT staff
Maintain and optimize local company networks and servers
Develop IT policies and practices
Assess system and network performance and recommend improvements
Resolve issues escalated by technicians and engineers
Ensure data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and company guidelines
Provide support and guidance to users via help desk
Manage contracts with vendors (e.g. development platforms, telecommunication companies, password managers) and software licenses
Be responsible for device and password management
Develop and mentor support and leadership talent
Perform performance reviews
Work with recruiting to create job postings, screen resumes, interview candidates, etc

Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis

In your past life, you were a Network Administrator / Network Engineer:
Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts
Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, route redistribution, Spanning Tree)
Knowledge on Cisco, ASA, Dynamic Routing, OSPF, Proxy Servers, Web Filtering and Networking (LAN/WAN, VLAN, DNS, MPLS)
Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills
Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
Knowledge of network infrastructures
Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools
