IT OFFICER (NETWORK AND INFORMATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR)
 
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY
 
The Network and IS Administrator should support and maintain IT network infrastructure, operation and facilities at the KYOCERA Document Solutions Development Philippines, Inc. Performs network and information security management, analysis, documentation, implementation, integration, and maintenance in company's operation.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree is required.  B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Information Technology
At least 2 years of related work experience as an IT (with minimum 2 years focus-experience on security and networking)
Experienced in small-medium network infrastructure set up and configuration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional, Certified CompTia Network+ and Security is a plus
Hands-on experience on security firewall operation (e.g. Sonicwall, Fortinet, Cisco)
Familiarity on network and security protocols and standards.
Broad-based knowledge of systems/network issues and excellent analytical/problem solving skills
Ability to document, explain, and implement network topologies and upgrades;
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
Minimum Requirement:
At least 2 years experience in:
Internet and Network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, POP3, IMAP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
WAN / LAN Cabling Installation and Administration
Firewall and Endpoint Security
Cisco IOS - router/switch ACL and configurations
Routing and redundancy protocols
Network equipment installation (Modems, Routers, Switches, Firewall, Bridges, Access Points)
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Network Control/Administration
Provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network; tests and analyzes network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers
Installs, supports and/or maintains local (LAN) and/or wide area networks (WAN); evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades
Performs technical analyses of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations
Monitors data traffic and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission
Identifies, diagnoses and resolves technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software Information Security and Efficiency
Evaluates, tests, recommends, develops, coordinates, monitors, and maintains information security policies, procedures and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware and software
Ensures that IS security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IS standards and overall IS security
Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests
procedures to halt future incidents
Investigates and resolves security incidents and recommends enhancements to improve security
Develops techniques and procedures for conducting IS security risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware and software for possible impact on system security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents
