Description
Responsibilities:
• Performs job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statements and the core values of the company; ensures that subordinate employees perform their respective functions in like manner.
• Plans, organizes, and controls the operations and activities of the work unit; prepares and secures approval of the budget in support of such operations or activities.
• Provides overall supervision of all technical projects and deployments.
• Provides mentoring, advice, and guidance to technical personnel during deployments on the performance of their service delivery to clients.
• Participates in the pre-sales meetings and conferences between the sales force and the key representatives of named accounts to respond to inquiries and concerns and consequently define the latter's technical requirements.
• Responds to clients' inquiries and requests beyond the competence and authority of the Technical Associates.
• Reviews project and/or deployment status reports identifying areas requiring action particularly in relation to ensuring that deliverables, as committed to client organizations, are provided as scheduled and in accordance with product and service quality specifications.
• Participates in the generation of ideas and strategies for the development of marketable services and solutions; initiates indigenization of existing and acquired systems for the local and company-specific application.
• Assists in the collection of accounts from client organizations and prepare recommendations on action to take for overdue/aged accounts.
• Prepares weekly planner on activities to be undertaken and prepare reports on actual results, outputs and accomplishments based on plans at the end of the week; consolidate accomplishment reports into monthly performance reports.
• Submits to superior officers' periodic reports on the operations and activities of the work unit with corresponding analysis and recommendations.
• Participates in collegial planning for policies, procedures, and systems, problem-solving, decision making and performance monitoring through participation in standing and ad hoc committees, task forces, and project teams.
• Provides training and development interventions to subordinates in the form of on-the-job training and mentoring or the facilitation of formal learning sessions; Plans and executes technical certification path for the technical personnel and their career planning and development.
• Manages and controls planned and intervening activities of subordinate employees concerning the performance of their job functions and completion of task assignments in accordance with prescribed standards, in the process providing motivational approaches, appraisal, coaching and counseling, and discipline.
• Participates in various corporate programs and activities; attends training programs and learning sessions for the enhancement of professional, technical, and personal proficiencies.
• Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane, or related to and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field
• At least three (3) years of progressive and related work experience one of which should have been in a managerial capacity.
• LPIC 1 & 2, Acronis (ACE), My SQL, and other TSI products certification exam passer.
• Should have advanced technical skills related to Windows/Linux platforms, networking, and information technology infrastructure management.
• Strong people management skills.
• Monitors Senior Technical Engineer.
• Oversees one (1) to two (2) teams.
• Able to generate income for the Professional Services Business Unit
