The scope for desk side support includes management of end-user computing devices e.g. desktops, thin clients, laptops, printers, scanners, MFP's
Desk side Support Service shall assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting and implementing
corrective and preventive actions or steps for resolution for end user devices.
Desktop / laptop reimaging when required
Ensure end user machines are compliant against identified controls
Support staff should be skilled to get on call with clients, business and OEMs for on ground
technical support and updates
Maintain and utilize an updated KMDB to ensure best practices are captured and replicated
throughout the program
Take ownership of all the single user incidents, keep the - tickets updated till those are resolved
Desktop & Asset Engineers deployed in location should be flexible to move within internal work
centers.
2.2 IMAC
Standard Checklist to be followed for all IMAC
Install keyboard, mouse, and re-install any existing peripherals Connect the system to a properly
terminated network connection.
Check for proper boot-up procedure
Check for proper operation of system as per standard checklist
Configure the desktop/laptop (network settings, e-mail client) as per standard checklist
Print a test page to each network printer, if applicable (if end user already have authorized printer
access
Ongoing improvement of the services
