Job Brief
We are looking for an IT Administrator to provide site-level IT support to our Cebu ops team. You will diagnose and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network problems.
IT Administrator responsibilities include resolving network issues, configuring Chrome and Mac operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support. You must be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation. You will use email and chat applications to give end users quick answers to simple IT issues. For more complex problems that require nuanced instruction, you will contact end users in person to provide clear, written instructions and technical manuals.
To be qualified for this role, you should hold a degree in a relevant field, like Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering. Microsoft, Cisco, Linux or similar certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade our site networks and servers
Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
Ensure network security and connectivity
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords (via G-suite Admin)
Resolve problems reported by end user
Define network policies and procedures
Specify system requirements and design solutions
Research and make recommendations on server system administration
Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
Prepare accurate and timely reports
Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
Source and coordinate with IT vendors for site/work from home requirements
Negotiate with vendors IT peripherals pricing
Dispatch IT peripherals to new hires (whether they are on onsite or work from home set up)
Maintain hardware and software inventory
Requirements
3+ years as Network Administrator and 3+ years as Desktop Support Specialist
Proficiency in managing resources in a Chrome OS and G-suite IT environment
Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
Ability to set up and configure server hardware
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
