About the Role
As the Information Technology (IT) Administrator you will deliver comprehensive technical support services and software solutions to our Santa Monica (25%), Detroit (25%) and Shanghai (25%) offices largely for Mac, with occasional PC support needed. This position is a crucial member of the global IT team headquartered in Berlin. You are also a critical member of the US Shared Services team and responsible for IT related inventory procurement, maintenance, and vendor management.
Responsibilities
Provide hardware and software technical support to end users in the US division (Santa Monica + Detroit) and Shanghai office, in collaboration with the global IT team
Identify, analyze/troubleshoot and resolve IT issues
End user's backup support & maintenance with Symantec Backup Exec & Time Machine
Email administration and support
Work on IT budget with finance in regard to purchasing, invoice approval & expense reporting
Testing and usability of working products and client demos
Active Directory user management
Fileserver permission management (Windows and MAC OS X)
Windows servers/Exchange 2010 management
IT/computer set up for new hires (PC & MAC), support computers using remote software
Networking & security support
Liaison with IT department in German headquarters for troubleshooting and problem solving
Liaison with HR with new hire setup and new hire IT orientation
Perform network and system administration duties such as setting up network and email accounts and troubleshooting activities
Installing and configuring new computers, applications and peripherals
Performing routine maintenance, diagnostics and repair on MAC OS X server, Macbooks, applications and peripherals
Managing and performing Mac (hardware and software) training as needed for all users
Inventory management and procurement of computers, software & hardware, cell phones
Vendor management to all security and IT related vendors. Responsible to complete a robust vendor onboarding process (SOX requirements).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, business or related field
Apple Certified Technical Coordinator/ System Administrator (ACTC or ACSA certification)
3+ years professional experience as IT support for an office
Expert knowledge of Mac computers, software, servers, networking and support.
Knowledge of PCs, software, networking and support
Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the following software programs: iCal, iMail, Office for mac, iWork, Omnigraffle, Omnioutliner, Merlin, Adobe CC, Parallels, VM Ware, VirtualBox
