Irrigation Team Leader/ Water Resources Specialist - Philippines
The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experience Team Leader with extensive Irrigation & Water Resources experience for an upcoming project in the Philippines.
Opportunity:
My client is a leading International Firm with a strong reputation for successfully delivering similar projects throughout the world and is already involved in the wider scheme. The project is to assist the Government of the Philippines to increase productivity and climate resilience of irrigated agriculture in Mindanao by (i) strengthening irrigation planning, design, and management capacities; (ii) developing efficient and climate resilient irrigation systems; and (iii) adopting climate resilient irrigated farming practices. I.e. to prepare via TRTA for a follow-on ADB loan.
This would be an initial 6 month assignment and shall be split between time in the field and remote working.
Responsibilities:
Required to lead the preparation of the proposed Project in accordance with ADB requirements, particularly to: (i) to lead the team of international and national consultants to carry out the TA; (ii) participate in consultations with project stakeholders and beneficiaries where possible; (iii) provide quality assurance for outputs and activities of all TA team members; (iv) coordinate TA consulting firm team members to complete the quality outputs and deliverables; (v) ensure coordination, consultation and participation of stakeholders in the TA; (vi) be responsible for the delivery of the project preparation by preparing and or/reviewing the RRP and all its linked documents including supplemental documents; and (vii) assist approval process of the RRP
Key requirements for the role:
Sc. or equivalent in Water resources, Civil engineering or related discipline.
15 years experience in developing internationally financed water sector
Previous ADB (Asian Development Bank) Transactional Technical Assistance (TRTA) or Preparatory Project Assistance (PPTA) projects.
Team Leader on 2 previous projects.
A background in irrigation, and working with climate adaptive infrastructural approaches.
Experience of working in Southeast Asia also required

Fluency in English
Salary:
Upto $700 p/d working at home, $16,000 in country with package
