Job Description
Job Summary
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for managing and monitoring the movement of physical inventory and all finished product movement system transactions, document flow, and control are performed to Company standards for accuracy and timeliness to ensure a high level of system-wide inventory integrity.
The position will also play a key role in managing fulfillment efficiency and lead time and inventory accuracy KPIs.
The role is responsible for the overall planning, inventory management, and control, and to satisfy customer requirements and achieve business goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Management * Ensures management of all finished product inventories both internal and external warehouses.
Monitors and controls inventory levels to meet customer service levels and cost objectives.
Ensures that all stocks transfers and delivery transactions are timely and accurately transacted in the system.
Analyze, control, and ensure constant tracking of item movement.
Ensure to classify what SKU's are made to stock (MTS) and what is made to order (MTO) based on inventory movement
Oversees the monthly cycle count of all warehouses to ensure that proper cut off of documents are properly observed before printing the inventory proof list.
Conducts cycle count based on the agreed schedule to verify records of inventory vis-a-vis physical count
Establish and maintain the central inventory area; collaborate with supervisors in other areas where inventory is held to support inventory control.
Implement reporting and controlling measures on inventory turnaround time including alerts on inventory with long aging days, close to expiry, and expired products.
Maintain inventory levels, analyze data, review and reset order levels, taking into consideration forecast, safety stock, lead-time, and other influencing factors to anticipate inventory issues on transfers and cycle counts
Provides reconciliation support as needed related to inventory, production posting, and order fulfillment/account receivables issues.
Coordinates with accounting for the inventory write off and system adjustments entry
Maintains the cycle count program and processes, root cause analysis, accuracy reporting, and corrective actions.
Supervisory Responsibility * Conducts regular performance reviews of subordinates; Manage performance and disciplinary issues in accordance with HR policy;
Recommend and implement ways to motivate the team and improve employee engagement;
Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements;
Train and coach subordinates on approved processes, standard operating procedures, and standards;
Monitors the KPIs set for the subcontracted manpower team;
Work with team members on the Individual Development Plan to address competency gaps;
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
At least 2 years working on a variety of roles in manufacturing organizations, including experience in some or all of these areas - Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Customer Service
At least 1-year of experience in a leadership role.
