INTERNAL AUDITOR
 
Qualifications:
Graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
At least 4 years of working experience in Accounting and/or Financial Audit or External/Internal Audit.
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Has excellent spoken and written English
Proficient in basic Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Detailed-oriented and highly organized
Possesses a sense of urgency
Has a business orientation and good analytical skills
High ethical standards and hardworking
Computer literate
Good communication skills
Can work with less supervision
Ability to recognize deviations from good business practice and corporate code of conduct. Knowledge to identify the indicators of fraud.
Willing to travel and render overtime work if needed.
Responsibilities:
Protects assets by ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and regulation
Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation and verifying assets and liabilities by comparing items to documents.
Maintains internal control system by updating audit questionnaires, and recommending new policies and procedures.
Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement
Undertakes any assignments given by the management at any given time;
Conducts audit and review on the assigned organizational, functional, and operational activities;
Performs pre-audit and/or preliminary survey on organizational, functional, and operational activities by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends
Plans the scope of the audit and prepares an audit program and procedures to be used;
Makes an oral or written presentation to management during and/or after the examination. Discuss all noted deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and suggest improvements in the internal control system;
Prepares formal written audit reports to management on the results of the examination;
Follow up and check if management has taken immediate actions on audit recommendations. Appraise or assist in appraising the adequacy of the corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions
