JOB DESCRIPTION FOR AN INTERNAL ACCOUNTANT

As an Internal Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of financial operations within the company. You will be responsible for managing various aspects of the company's financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal control processes. Your meticulous attention to detail, analytical skills, and proactive attitude will contribute to the maintenance of our financial integrity and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will help build the client's best practice process to streamline his workflow and systematize the business.
Your Responsibilities as an Internal Accountant:
• Manage and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and customer payments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper coding and classification of expenses and revenues.
• Prepare and maintain financial documents, records, and reports, adhering to company policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing accurate data for internal and external reporting purposes.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable insights and assisting in the monitoring of financial performance against targets.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist with audit preparations, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required by auditors.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations, recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support the finance manager and other team members in ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements
As an Internal Accountant:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in e-commerce or retail industries.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal controls.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Integrity and a high level of ethics in handling confidential financial information.
