Triohm Services Philippines Inc is currently seeking a remote Insurance Verification Specialist to work closely with the physician/surgeon, their office and patients to ensure all verifications are coordinated properly prior to the procedure/surgery. The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying patients' insurance coverage and eligibility prior to scheduled procedures. This is a REMOTE position. 
 
Primary responsibilities of the position will include: 
Initiate, track and follow up on the prior authorization requests for procedures and surgeries prior to their scheduled appointments in a timely manner. 
Check the eligibility and benefits for certain procedures with specific insurance plans for each patient.
Update the patient and the patient notes in the system with details.
Communicate with the client office and supervisor if any request needs to be expedited prior to the scheduled procedure.
Become proficient with our software solutions quickly in-order to assume insurance verification related duties on assigned team without delay. 
Assist clients with real time authorization and verification for urgent requests.
Attend client online meetings to discuss status and improve operational efficiencies. 
Provide status updates to team leaders on a regular basis and according to defined parameters 
Requirements: 
Candidate must understand and speak English very clearly 
Candidate must be able to read, write USA style English grammar 
Candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Candidate should have the ability to work under pressure as a part of a team
Candidate shall possess strong computer skills and will be required to learn our internal systems as well as our electronic health record software 
Candidate must have a Personal Computer set which includes headset.   
Candidate must put computer system specifications in the Resume. 
Candidate must have a stable internet connection (LAN) with at least 30 Mbps speed (upload and download) and must have a prepaid WIFI for back-up. 
This full-time position requires the candidate to work regular US hours Monday thru Friday. 
Qualifications: 
Any bachelor's degree in healthcare (preferred)
OR 2 years of experience working in US Insurance Industry
OR 5 years of experience working in US healthcare
Skills:
1-3 years of experience in insurance verification, medical billing, or related healthcare administrative roles.
Strong knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer plans.
Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes (preferred).
Experience using EMR/EHR and practice management systems
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
